A Mutual Vision
The natural aesthetic choice for two companies that have deep historical roots with England, Arnold & Son, together with The Limited Edition, have chosen to highlight the instantly recognisable architecture of London with the HM London Skyline watch. Laid upon a mother-of-pearl dial, the Gothic spires of the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben are joined by the Dome of St Paul’s Cathedral, and as they reach up towards a sky of pale blue, the world-famous Tower Bridge takes up position in the foreground. Recreated with exceptional detail, the miniature artwork provides a historical snapshot of a skyline that has stood stoically and proudly throughout the reigns of Kings and Queens, and through invasions and wars.
After dark, the historical buildings become mere shadows, and the contemporary architecture is revealed. Astounding in its execution, and rendered using a special Super-LumiNova technique, the intricate illuminated outline of The London Eye dominates the right side, while on the left, the contrasting profiles of the knife-edged ‘Shard’ and the rounded ‘Gherkin’ emit an ethereal glow. Allowing the drama of the artwork to dominate, the dial is fitted with discreet minute markers and with Super-LumiNova hour markers, complemented by slender hour and minutes hands with lume-enhanced tips.

Watchmaking Elegance and Technical Finesse
A timepiece of elegant perfection, yet one which is defined by technical finesse, the HM London Skyline is housed within a 39.5mm rounded case of either stainless steel or 18ct red gold. Denoting the exclusivity of the edition, each piece will be engraved with its individual serial number and also with the star motif of The Limited Edition on the rear of its case. A polished finish enhances the casing’s profile, while its arching lugs curve gracefully to conform gracefully to the wrist.

Exclusive release
The HM London Skyline Limited Edition watch is presented in an exclusive release of only 20 pieces, in either stainless steel or 18ct red gold. A wonderful interpretation that captures the essence of London architecture over the centuries, as well as a shared passion for independent watchmaking excellence at the heart of both Arnold & Son and The Limited Edition. Each watch features a blue alligator leather strap, secured with a pin buckle in steel or red gold.

Beautifully constructed
A sapphire caseback displays the meticulously finished A&S 1001 calibre, which, like all Arnold & Son’s movements, was entirely developed, produced, decorated, assembled and adjusted at their Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Notable for its slender proportions, the calibre has a thickness of only 2.7mm, placing it firmly within the extra-thin category, and its double-barrel arrangement delivers a constant flow of power, resulting in improved accuracy and an impressive power reserve of 90 hours when fully hand-wound. Exhibiting traditional Haute Horlogerie finishing throughout, the architecture of the calibre displays a stunning combination of swirling Côtes de Genève, perlage, and manual chamfering with gleaming high-polished edges and blued screws.
