The double tourbillon is a rare construction, even more so with this structural approach that meets aesthetic, historical, and horological objectives.
The Globetrotter is a refined travel watch inspired by the spirit of exploration. The now iconic arched bridge secures the rotating dome of the northern hemisphere, enhanced with sunray-brushed metallic continents over the oceans. The watch is powered by the in-house automatic calibre with a 55-hour power reserve and visible fine finishing through a sapphire case back. Paired with alligator leather straps, Globetrotter balances elegance, functionality, and a tribute to travel heritage.
The Globetrotter is offered in 42 mm or 45 mm, with cases crafted in 5N red gold, platinum, or stainless steel. At its centre, a sculpted dome of the Northern Hemisphere is traversed by an expansive openworked bridge, the defining aesthetic and technical signature of the collection. Meticulously finished, this architectural element also serves a functional role, integrating a synthetic ruby that secures the axis of universal time and ensures the precise rotation of the globe beneath.
Like all calibres signed by Arnold & Son, Globetrotter’s movement has been conceived, developed, manufactured, decorated, assembled, regulated and encased entirely within the brand’s Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds – a testament to the Maison’s uncompromising independence and mastery of fine watchmaking. Revealed through the sapphire crystal case back, the self-winding movement displays an openworked oscillating weight, finely engraved and meticulously finished. Traditional haute horlogerie decorations adorn every component: a circular-grained main plate, radiating Côtes de Genève on the bridges, satin-brushed wheels, and chamfered, polished screws. Its refined treatment imparts a luminous sheen, harmoniously echoing the steel cases it powers.
